Weight loss/flat abs: If you follow a diet that lowers your consumption of calories, you will lose weight whether it is high fat or low fat, high protein or low carb. It's basic math: eat less, weigh less. www.ncbi.nlm. Gov/pmc/articles/pmc2763382/ flattening your stomach cannot be achieved by eating differently, except a thinner stomach is flatter; generally to get flatter you have to exercise your abs regularly.

Abs: Lose the carbs and starchy foods, consider more mediterranean/fish/protein. Add some ab crunches/pilates.
