Hyperhidrosis: Antiperspirants are the cheapest treatment but don't work for everyone. Iontophoresis treatments can thicken skin to control sweating. Botox injections can control the condition but last only 4 - 8 months & are quite expensive. A dermatologist may be able to offer other solutions.

Options: Surgery can be quite successful for appropriate candidates. While done often by experienced thoracic surgeons (vats), it is chest surgery (major surgery). There are risks and benefits. Appropriate candidates should be selected. This link may help: http://goo.Gl/rsl68 this link to consensus: http://goo.Gl/isann.

Different things: There various topical medications that help hyperhidrosis. If those do not work, for hyperhidrosis of the hands and armpits, surgery via vats sympathectomy is up to 90-95% effective. http://www.ucdmc.ucdavis.edu/surgery/specialties/cardio/thoracicsurgery.html.
