Surgery may work: Sometimes surgeons cut a nerve to eliminate sweating in the armpits. Unfortunately you made then develope excess sweating elsewhere. It is also possible to surgically scrape away the sweat glands from under the skin to stop this sweating. Botulinum toxin, when injected into the skin of the armpits, will stop sweating for 6 months.

Sweat Treatment: Excessive sweat is easy to treat with Botox injections. These are very tiny injections and not usually uncomfortable. The treatment should last at least 6 months and is often covered by insurance. Alternatively, one can use clinical strength antiperspirant available off the shelf. The secret is to apply it at night before bed. It can be washed in the morning and will still work.
