Sourbrash: Sounds like a good case of gerd (gastroesophageal reflux) with sourbrash (the copper taste you describe), perhaps exacerbated by delayed stomach emptying (the nausea). I recommend stopping tobacco, alcohol, any non-prescribed nsaid's (aleve, advil, (ibuprofen) motrin), starting over-the-counter Prilosec daily before breakfast, & certainly pursuing formal evaluation particularly if symptoms persist or worsen.
