You can: Teeth can look yellowed after braces removal. First have a thorough dental cleaning and follow that up with removal (by your dentist) of any remaining bonding (used to cement brackets). You would be surprised at how much brighter and whiter the teeth look. If still yellow, have dentist evaluate when best to do bleaching. I prefer patient use an enamel restoring rinse for a few weeks, then bleach.

Orthodontia: Usually just fine to do and it's a really good way to show off your new smile. There are some restrictions so check with your orthodontist and dentist.

No problem here : Nobody will "recommend" whitening, as there is no medical nesessity in this procedure, but if patient wants whitening, and there are no contraindications, like large decay cavities, especially after removal of braces, or other ... Then I do not see - why not to whiten teeth after braces are removed.

Yes: Bleaching can be accomplished after orthodontics - it's quite common. Perhaps, talking with your family dentist about best bleaching options would be a good place to start.

Great idea: Congrats on getting your braces off! check with your orthodontist first to make sure all of the bonding material used to hold the braces in place has been removed. Then talk to your dentist about the best whitening system for you, and go with his recommendation. Remember crowns, fillings, and veneers will probably not change color.

Fine: many of our patients will whiten teeth after treatment. discuss with your orthodontist as your retainer can be used as a bleaching tray and they will typically have professional grade whitening kits you can use
