What they do: Not all pbysicisns are the same, but most want to help their patients. Our society is such that we want an immediate and easy fix to a problem.Insurance companied may also pressure an antidepressant be started. Mental health professionals may be lacking in the area or reputation may not be good. Some may not understand or believe in the effectiveness of counseling. Prescribing is one of the things.
