Not good: You need a dental exam, with an xray. Gums and tissues between teeth should be pink and relatively smooth. "bumpy thing" could be a tooth or gum abcess.

See your dentist: A bump between the teeth may have any one of several causes...It could be food trapped under gumline (such as popcorn kernel), a gum abcess or tooth abcess. See your dentist to assess what may be causing it.
