Inadvertently : Some medications do have side effects like... Dry mouth. The decrease in saliva has profound effects, such as ph balance. Changes in flora that coat the teeth and lubricate them are altered. Certain medications also cause para functional activity when you sleep. This includes grinding , which can make your teeth hurt.

Xerostomia: Xerostomia (also known as dry mouth) is a common side effect of many medications. It can cause both tooth (decay and sensitivity) and soft tissue problems.
