Maybe temporarily: Peroxyl is just 1.5 % hydrogen peroxide and 99% water. It will kill bacteria it comes into contact with but if you have an infection it will not cure it. You need to have the tooth fixed or removed if that is what is truly causing your infection.

A little: Peroxyl may help somewhat, but it is not going to get rid of the source of the infection. Thus the infection will come back, that is one of the reasons antibiotics only work temporarily on tooth infections also.

Not really: An infectedtooth requires specific treatment, usually root canal or extraction/replacement, with antibiotic coverage. There are no OTC's, homeopathic, salves, drops, potions, lotions, or snake oil, that will cure a tooth infection. No: Infections almost always require two things to get rid of them. First, an antibiotic to limit its spread and help the body eradicate it. Secondly, specific treatment to remove the cause and prevent its return. What you are considering is like placing a bandaid with hydrogen peroxide on a infected splinter stuck deep into your finger. See a dentist to get rid of the infection quickly/completely.

Sorry, won't work: You'll need to see a dentist to treat the cause of the infection if you want to "get rid of it".
