After extraction: Unless there was an infection at the time of the extraction, there is no special need to be concerned about an infection. Just follow the instructions given you as well as normal good oral hygiene which includes proper tooth brushing, flossing & rinsing (starting the day after the extraction). If you have any other questions or concerns, please call the dentist who actually treated your daughter

Prevent infection: Let your child gently rinse his mouth using warm salt water and keep good oral hygiene. If an infection is suspected, it is important to visit your dentist for post-op evaluation. Good luck.
