Cardiogenic emboli, what are they like?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Clot: When the heart is not beating effectively and emptying itself of all the blood, it can stay in the heart. Blood that is not flowing tends to clot. If clot forms, then the heart moves that out to the body then its called a cardiac embolus. The symptoms depends on where the clot go and what end organ it affects. Common problems are stroke (emboli to brain) and blockages in the arms/legs. Er required.
