Either PLUS: Pilates and yoga are excellent exercises to help reduce back pain, but if you are trying to correct a curve or slow down progression, then you need to seek the help of a trained physical therapist to teach you specific exercises that have been developed for this condition! see above for more info regarding yoga and scoliosis.

Both: Exercise in general is recommended for back health. Flexibility, core strengthening and cardiovascular endurance are all important . Yoga and pilates are both great ways to keep your back in shape.
