Observe: Baby acne is common and should resolved within 2-3 months. You may want to use a mild soap such as cetaphil. No other treatment is necessary for mild acne.

What are the symptoms of baby acne?

It's like acne...: It's exactly like regular acne, except blackheads are uncommon, and of course it is in a baby, under 6 months usually. There is actually another baby rash called "erythema toxicum" that looks a lot like acne, but since neither one needs any treatment and both go away on their own, the difference is not at all important.

A 36-year-old member asked:
How am I supposed to apply clearasil (benzoyl peroxide) ultra rapid action treatment cream?
1 doctor answer • 2 doctors weighed in
Specializes in Pediatrics
Apply thin layer. .: to all areas of the skin that have acne after gently cleansing the skin and drying. It works both to reduce redness and swelling of active lesions, but also helps to open the pores and prevent further pimples. As it may be drying, start with once daily for a few weeks, and then increase to twice or three times daily if well tolerated. It can be used on both face and back but avoid your eyes.
