Possible but ?: I am not aware of any reason to prescribe Phentermine for hemochromatosis. I do not know of a relationship of disease of iron overload to a diet pill. I would categorically state that one should not be taking this medication for hemochromatosis. It is indicated for certain obesity states.

No : Phentermine is used as an appetite suppressant. It also has a strong "anti cholinergic" profile. This may lead to a faster heart rate, higher blood pressure, dry mouth, blurred vision, and urine retention. None of these are helpful in the treatment of hemochromatosis.

Not a correct Rx: Perhaps there is a misunderstanding.
