A member asked:

Why does inhaling tobacco smoke give me heart pain, coughing, and dry throat?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It's a poison: Even though you may not have lit the cigarette, you're getting a percentage of the many side-effects tobacco smoke causes. If there were an fda-like package insert, it would probably several feet long.
