Yes.: The pain experienced after a thyroid nodule biopsy is highly variable. Depending on the size of the needle used, whether local anesthetic was given, and individual technique these factors will influence whether you have pain or not. There is also variation from one patient to the next. Generally speaking, the pain experienced is mild.
