Check again: Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (jra) causes soft puffy swelling around the joints, not hard little bb sized nodules. Rheumatoid arthritis usually found in adults causes harder nodules but they do not hurt. So, i would not jump to the conclusion that this is jra. Your pediatrician should be able to help.
