Possible Cyst: This could be an early ganglion cyst. A ganglion cyst is a tumor or swelling on top of a joint or the covering of a tendon (tissue that connects muscle to bone). The exact cause is unknown. They are not serious when small but can grow. If they get large, they can be painful and may need to be removed surgically.
