IUI or ICSI mostly: Abnormal semen analysis needs a second test 1-2 months later for confirmation, ideally through a fertility clinic. Hormonal testing may identify treatable problems, and tablets may improve sperm; very rarely hormone shots. Mild to medium low sperm count is often treated with intrauterine inseminations (iui). Severe sperm problems need ivf with icsi (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) or donor sperm.
