Haven't seen evidenc: Saw palmetto is sold to improve symptoms of benign prostate hyperplasia. However, recent review of evidence demonstrates no benefit at even higher than recommended doses. It's not clear how saw palmetto (doesn't) works but it doesn't appear to affect either testosterone or dihydrotestosterone. Excess t can increase body hair but it's conversion into Dht could cause male pattern baldness.
