Many causes: A trauma to a tooth, following either a fall or a blow, can make the tooth pink or even grey. Other than the color change, this condition is not usually harmful for the tooth. Treatments should only be needed if the tooth became infected or symptomatic other causes are intake of antibiotic such as tetracycline during tooth development, as well as a cavity or silver restoration can stain teeth grey.

Varies : Smokeless tobacco can also cause gray teeth ... And cancer. If only one tooth is gray, that probably means means that tooth has suffered trauma. Sometimes a dentist can do a root canal and bleach the tooth from the inside.

Many causes: Poor hygiene, smoking, a nerve dying inside a tooth, can create a discoloration of a tooth/teeth. In the past (and definitely not now, ) some people when they were an infant or child, or if the mother was pregnant, would be given tetracycline antibiotic. The antibiotic would become a part of the forming permanent teeth, and discolor all the teeth, either dark bluish grey or grey.

Meds, trauma: Grey teeth or tooth? If its your entire dentition, then tetracycline is the culprit, taken during tooth development. If its a single or a few teeth only, and you have a history of trauma, then you have a tooth w a dead pulp or calcified nerve canal. Either way, have your dentist take a look.
