It shouldn't : By following a few simple rules, general surgeons can perform this operation with little residual cosmetic effect. The way i look at it, the fibroadenoma doesn't belong there. Therefore, surgical removal of the tumor should restore the breast to its 'normal' state. As far as the scar goes, the scar can usually be "hidden" around the areolar edge or below the breast. Be sure to ask your surgeon!
