Depression: Oldest group is tricyclic ad such as elavil. Another group are ssris such as prozac. Another are snris such as cymbalta (duloxetine). Another are Dopamine agents such as wellbutrin. Rest are one not belonging to above such as trazodone, symbiax, remeron. Effects are summerized as stabilization of adrenergic/dopaminergic/serotonergic/cholinergic. Neurotransmission in brain which result in stabilizing mood.
