A member asked:

Is it possible for the human body to endure complete blood transfusion?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes indeed!: In fact, exchange transfusion was the treatment of choice that saved many lives of children both with rh disease -- hemolytic disease of the newborn -- back in the bad old days. Today, all of one's plasma can be removed and replaced daily, as in treatment for goodpasture's and ttp. This is an excellent question and still very relevant.
