A member asked:

Does having a rare blood type make it harder to get transfusion?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Yes since a person with a rare blood type can only take their blood type or o negative or possibly o positive (if they are not female or no longer of age for childbearing). Blood is a limited resource and when you narrow down the possibilities of acceptance it can provide a problem.
