A member asked:

Can you tell me how human chimera do their blood transfusion?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

By Type & Crossmatch: Human chimerism occurs after engraftment of stem cells from an allogeneic donor with a different ABO blood type. The recipient may also continue to produce some red blood cells as well. A type & Crossmatch by the Blood Bank will determine the best cells to transfuse.
