Pachymetry: Your ohthalmologist will have available an instrument termed a pachymeter which sends a rapid ultrasonic pulse, reading its reflection time to determine corneal thickenss. This measurement is helpful in assessing corneal disease, glaucoma and pre-lasik evaluation.
