Can over-corrected prescription glasses lead to bad glares and other higher order aberrations like starbursts? checked for cataract/cornea-no issues.

Maybe: Higher order abberations can result from incorrect rx, high index lens material , marginal abberations in a strong rx, incorrect pd measurement a nd fitting. If your exam is normal see if your optician can fix it.
