What are some symptoms of childhood diabetes type 1?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Peeing/Drinking Alot: Prior to diagnosis kids with type 1 dm have a history of waking up at night to void (or bed wetting) and drink. Patients are thirsty because they lose so much water when high blood sugars make them void so much. Also during day. Over time belly pain and vomiting may start as ketones start building up, breathing fast, fruity breath. See the doctor asap if you notice these symptoms.
