Classic signs!: Classic signs of increased thirst, increased eating and increased urination. Symptoms can come on suddenly. Obesity increases the risk -- as well as a positive family history. These sumptoms can be over a few weeks, and the patient may experience sudden weight loss and decreased activity. If untreated, pts can go into a coma. Totally agree : With dr namerow. Oftentimes they present as vomiting with weight loss and dismissed as stomach virus.They become lethargic with ketone breath . So keep that in mind especially with special needs children and children with down's syndrome.
