Sinus treatment: Yes, medications like decongestants( sprays and tablets) help decrease swelling allowing drainage. Saline spray helps to clean the nose of germs, pus, etc. It also acts as mild decongestant. Nasal steroid sprays may help. Steroid pills may help by decreasing swelling and inflammation. Chronic infection is treated with surgery.
