Saline: If you have sinus infection symptoms past 2 weeks, you may need to see your doctor to confirm acute sinusitis. You may need an antibiotic. Symptom relief may also be provided from pain medications, decongestants, and nasal saline sprays or irrigations. Saline irrigations (neti pot) is particularly quite safe and effective in treating and preventing chronic sinus infections.
