It depends: It will depend on the nature of your problem. In a private practice new patients may be given a slot of 20 to 30 minutes. If you are seen at an academic medical center it may be longer becuase you may be seen by a resident (a doctor who is undergoing specialty training in neurology) and then by the supervising neurologist.

Variable!: This is one of the things that is least understood by patients awaiting their appointment time and by referring providers...Seeing a basic migraine or essential tremor patient new may only take 20 min from head to toe. Then there are complicated syncopes, dizziness, and then the debilitated patients who you may not even get a good exam on due to limited mobility and dress....
