Yes: Over-the-counter medications such as Benadryl contain the key ingredient diphenhydramine. This key ingredient can cause drowsiness. However it's not recommended to take this medication chronically some people have cognitive deficits and attention problems. Consult a physician to discuss the real reason why you may not be able to get to sleep.
