Diet that was...: ...Consumed by people living near the mediterranean sea (but no longer). The pyramid emphasizes at is base, plant based foods such as fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts, and whole grains, and as the foundation of the pyramid narrows upwards, it adds olive oil, fish, meat, chicken, wine, and dairy foods in smaller amounts.
