Similar & different: The symptoms are very similar, though they're caused by unrelated organisms and the treatment is different. Gonorrhea can sometimes be more severe, and can cause joint infection, especially in women.

Different bacteria: Both chlam (c) & gon (g) can be spread through oral, vaginal or anal sex. Both can b present w/o symptoms or may cause discharge, discomfort w/ urination or pelvic pain. Approx 2.8 million c infections annually. 700, 000 g infections. Treatment is w/ different antibiotics. If worried, always test for both. See primary care or sexualhealth.Com for testing.
