Depends how u lift: It depends on how you have to lift and what kind of rotator cuff injury you have. If you can avoid overhead lifting, you can avoid exacerbation of the injury. Keep the weight close to your body and use your legs more. Tendinitis/bursitis is not associated with damage to the rotator cuff and lifting is possible, but may be painful. A full thickness rotator cuff tear makes any lifting very difficult.

Maybe.: If its just a strain to the rotator cuff, you should be able to lift up to waist level fairly comfortably, but overhead lifting may be very difficult.
