Painless running: It will most likely take 6-8 weeks for a tibial stress fracture to heal usually it is a clinical diagnosis as to when one can return to sports usually one can ride a stationary bike to maintain conditioning. Once the stress fracture pain has subsided and the patient can walk without pain, i will gradually allow gently jogging preferably on a grass or soft surface i will then progress gradually.
