Steroid side effects: Corticosteroids, whether by injection, iv, or oral administrationhave similar side effect, except that the im injection can cause localized muscle atrophy. Steroids side effect are generally cumulative, the more you get the greater the risk; fluid retention, weight gain, phsychosis, brittleness of bones, osteoporosis, increase risk of diabetes, adrenal suppression, increase infection and tumor.
