See below: With many allergens, repeated exposures gradually intensify the body's reaction, e.g. One bee sting: local reaction; 2nd sting: whole arm/leg; 3rd sting: anaphylactic shock. Mosquito bites not as dramatic, but precautionary measures like insect repellant, machines that attract mosquitos may be necessary.
