Weekly injection: Peg intron (peginterferon alfa 2b) is typically used as part of a 2 or 3 drug regimen for hepatitis c. There are other uses as well. It is dosed based on your weight and typically given as a weekly subcutaneous injection (into the skin and fat but not muscle). Common areas include stomach or thigh.
