See below: Your provider should look at the sites and make sure they are what is expected. People can try: leave the interferon at room temp about 30 min before injecting; rotate sites and never inject into inflamed areas; avoid waistline or other areas where clothes rub; hold an ice pack to the area after injection; don't rub the area afterwards; press a sterile gauze over the site and avoid band-aids.
