A member asked:

Is there anything that can be done if valves begin to regurgitate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: If your talking about heart valves, yes, those can be repaired through open heart surgery. The severity of the regurgitation, age, and disease burden play a role is deciding an appropriate candidate for surgery. Certain medical centers have less invasive ways of repairing those valves, but it's still a very new and limited technique.
