Subjective: The severity of the hemorrhoids is really your perception of them. Occassional pain and bleeding that only lasts a day or so are mild but symptoms that keep yopu from going to work or doing the activities you enjoy cqan be perceived as severe. Get them checked and treated properly. Enjoy life!

Severity of symptoms: Mild hemorrhoids can cause some mild bleeding, swelling or irritation. Severe hemorrhoids cause severe bleeding or pain that can prevent you from productive activity like working due to the pain.
