Of greater importance is the action of ahd that blocks the estrogen receptor - thus potentially interfering with the bcp's estrogenic activity. Admittedly, the birth control pill can be effective without estrogen, but how much contraceptive benefit is lost, and how much bleeding can occur is not known.
