Hemorrhoid types: The two types of hemorrhoids are internal hemorrhoids and external hemorrhoids. Internal hemorrhoids are graded 1-4, with 4 being the worst. External hemorrhoids are a network of vessels outside anus that swell with pregnancy or spending too much time on the toilet; when the swelling recedes, skin tags may be left around the anus. These also may break, cause a "thrombosed ext hemorrhoid".
