Simple things: You can try simple things like sleeping on his side (they sell sleeping shirts with tennis balls on the back), avoid alcohol and sedative near bedtime, and lose weight. If he is a robust snorer, he may have a condition called sleep apnea, which can be much more serious. Speak to your physician about arranging a sleep study to determine this.
