Sleep study: People who snore could have obstructive sleep apnea. This condition can be diagnosed with a sleep study and there is treatment. I would have Dad get to his Family Doc to have this worked up.

Agree w Dr. Arnoult: The reason for the snoring needs to be determined before a fix can be identified. Sometimes a sleep study is needed for this reason.

Medical evaluation: can help to determine the cause of his snoring. Depending on findings -it will be his choice to decide if he wishes to take steps to decrease his snoring. Take care.

Evaluation.: First, figure out why he's snoring. Get an evaluation by a Pulmonary or ENT specialist. There may be something medically wrong that would need treatment, such as sleep apnea.
