Snoring Home Remedy: Anything that helps relieve upper airway obstruction -- oral decongestants, nasal steroid sprays, nasal dilators -- all may be helpful. Is weight loss a "home remedy"? If so, this is generally the best way to help relieve snoring, after relieving a stuffy nose.

Easy things first: Avoid sleeping on your back, lose weight, & dont drink alcohol at night. A new device called theravent has shown some promise. Its a sticker you place over your nostrils. Its cheap and worth a try.

Yes: There are a few things you can try. Long term - losing weight, exercising regularly and avoiding alcohol all will help. Short term - lying on one's side is probably the best technique. Nasal strips (like breathe rite) work pretty well for some people. There are various devices - chin straps, mouth guards, etc. All are helpful for some people. You have to try them to know what will work for you.
