Heartburn: It is quite common. If it is persistent then should be evaluated as it could be symptom of underlying disease. Also longstanding heartburn can give rise to precancerous conditions.

Very Common: If you have tried any of the OTC med - Prilosec, Nexium, (esomeprazole) Zantac, Ranitidine... and still have no relief, see you doctor. You may need to have an EGD.
